Bailouts and Stuff

Things that are irritating me right now

My neck problems are flaring up again, and I'm back in physical therapy. The therapist suggested I get a home traction machine (Home version of what they do for me), since this is a recurring problem, and it would probably keep me from having to go back to therapy in another year. My insurance turned it down because it's "not a medical necessity". So wait... they'll continue to pay for me to visit a physical therapist twice a week, for 2 months a year, every year... but they won't pay $1000 for a machine that will prevent the constant therapist bills? No wonder insurance is so expensive

Does it REALLY annoy anyone else that the government just bailed out Citibank for $300 some billion dollars, and they announce they will not back out of their offer to spend $400 million on naming rights for the Mets new stadium? Screw "Citi Field"... it should be called "Taxpayer Field". Were there no damn restrictions on these stupid bailouts!? Don't they have to like, I don't know, at least pretend to be responsible and try to get themselves out of trouble?

I was all pumped to go up to Detroit for a few days and catch Ball State in the Motor City Bowl the day after Christmas, and the Motor City Bowl selected Central Michigan, leaving Ball State to play Tulsa in the GMAC bowl in Alabama. That's a 7 hour trip each way in the middle of the week, instead of a 3 hour trip during a time I'm already off work. Booooo!

I started having problems with my computer this weekend, and when I rebooted today, instead of getting a prompt that said "Start Windows Normally", I got a prompt that said "d Gindowc WindowlyNobmally". I have no idea what could have caused that... but I've got to believe it's not a good thing
